Thomas Anderson
Photographer · Developer · Miniature painter · Music maker
I’m Thomas. I’ve built my career working with computers and picked up a few hobbies along the way. More than a few, honestly. I’m the type that once I start something I can’t just dabble, I need to seek mastery, which is a challenge when I can’t settle on just one or two areas. I started this site to write about the journey along the way.
What I write about
Photography
“I love taking pictures and fell in love with the colors I get with the Fuji X-T4. I mostly shoot landscape photos, along with some family and events. I'm fascinated by street photography and would like to get better at that and my overall composition technique.”
Coding & Tech
“I knew since I was a kid that I wanted to work with computers. I went to school for Computer Science and started my career sitting on the fence between operations and development. I love system design and architecture, as well as learning every programming language I can, even though I may not get practical use out of many of them.”
Warhammer
“I'll jokingly say I'm always looking for new hobbies, and that eventually led me to painting Warhammer miniatures. My love of the Warhammer franchise started in the 2000s when I played Dawn of War on PC, and now I have a small plastic army of my favorite factions and am diving into the audiobooks from Black Library.”
Music
“I started playing guitar in college and eventually moved into the world of EDM, learning Ableton Live along the way. Turns out making EDM is a lot harder than listening to it, but that didn't stop my passion for making music, which has evolved into orchestral composition for film and games. It may not sound great, but I love it, it brings me joy, and that's enough.“
